FIDDLE CONTEST
Sat, Aug. 4 @ 1:30 PM in the pavilion.
Cash Prizes.
Fiddle Contest: ages 11 and under, 12-17, 55 and over and open
class. Open to all non-professionals. Register when you arrive and
draw for playing positions in your class. Any contestant can play in
the open class, however you can only enter one class.
All must:
a) play three tunes: hoe-down, waltz, tune of your choice. Tunes
are not to last more than 1-1.5 minutes. No show tunes or trick
playing. Must play on standard, non-electrified instruments. One
accompanist allowed. Registration deadline is July 26, 2012. Contest
participants' names will be at entrance gates for free admission.

Cash prizes: 11 and under: 1st$50.00; 2nd$35.00; 3rd$25.00
and 4th$15.00. 12-17: 1st$75.00, 2nd$50.00, 3rd$20.00
and 4th$15.00. 55 and over: 1st$100.00, 2nd$75.00, 3rd
$50.00 and 4th$25.00. Open class: 1st$125.00, 2nd$100.00,
3rd$75.00 and 4th$50.00.
