ENTRIES CLOSE: JULY 20 AT 4 P.M. MAIL ENTRIES MUST BE POSTMARKED BY JULY 13, 2012.
ENTRY FEE: 10% of First Place Premiums per class plus Membership, Season, or Mini Ticket. Entry fee due with entry form and is not refundable. No late entries accepted. Jr. Fair STEERS ONLY exempt from Membership, Season, or Mini Ticket.
JUDGING (First Show): Tuesday, August 2 at 8:30 A.M. for Maine Anjou, Hereford, Simmental, Commercial and Steer Show Entries must be in place Monday, July 30 by 8 A.M.
JUDGING (Second Show): Friday, August 3 at 1:00 P.M. for Angus, Limousin, Short Horn, and Commercial
You must decide which Commercial Class you want to show in at entry time. You can only show in one class.
Exhibitors are allowed to stay all week but must arrive by 8:00 A.M. Monday, July 30 with a dismissal time of Sunday, August 5 at 8:00 P.M. This will be decided at entry time.
NOTE: Maine Anjou, Hereford, Simmental, Commercial, and Steers must be in place by 8 A.M. Monday, July 30. They will show Tuesday, July 31 at 8:30 A.M. and be dismissed on Wednesday, August 1 at 9:00 P.M. Angus, Limousin, Short Horn, and Commercial will be admitted Thursday, August 2 between 4:00 A.M. and 11:00 A.M. Judging will be Friday, August 3 at 1:00 P.M. Dismissal will be Sunday, August 5 at 8:00 P.M.
RULES:
1. Exhibitor must show cattle that are registered, eligible to register or are commercial.
2. There must be five registered animals of a breed to show as a breed. Less than five show as commercial. Registration papers must be available for inspection.
3. Fair Board will furnish tie stalls ONLY - any other items or material will be furnished by the Exhibitor.
4. Limit of two (2) animals exhibited in a class by any Exhibitor.
5. Show order by breeds will be announced before the show.
6. “Competition in the Polled Hereford and/or Hereford shows is open to any animal registered in the American Polled Hereford Association and/or the American Hereford Association registries recognized by the World Hereford Council”.
7. Any animal may be shown in breed class or commercial class but not in both.
8. Entries will be accepted after the Premium Book is published on a first come, first serve basis until stall space is filled, but not later than 4 P.M. July 20.
9. All animals housed (stalled) but not shown in a class will be charged a fee of $2.00 per day.
10. All animals must show in individual classes.
11. All animals in classes 5 through 14 must be shown with a nose ring and halter.
12. Jr. Fair animals MUST house with Jr. Fair
13. The Fair Board Directors in charge of the Open Class Beef Dept. shall reserve the right to have the final jurisdiction over any and all questions and disputes in the Open Class Beef Cattle Dept.
14. Bulls over 8 months of age must have ring or nose lead.

Section S - STEER SHOW
CLASS: 1-Steer
RULES
1. The Steer Show is open to all beef breeds and commercial cattle.
2. All beef breeding animals and steer entries must be received in the Fair Board Office as soon as possible after distribution of the Premium Book but no later than July 20.
NO LATE ENTRIES ACCEPTED.
3. Each Exhibitor will be restricted to showing no more than four steers in the Medina County Fair Open Class Steer Show.
4. The entry fee for each steer is 10% of the first place premium offered and due with entry form and is not refundable.
5. Steers must be calved on or after January 1, 2011.
6. If necessary, steers may be divided by weight.
