ENTRIES IN PLACE: Students: Sat. July 29, 10A.M to 3 P.M. Advanced/Amateur: Sat. July 28 & Sun. July 29 from 10 AM to 3 P.M.
PROCEDURE FOR ENTERING PROJECTS: Each project must be entered on a separate line of the open class entry form. You must pick up your entry tags for your photographs at the office. Please check your tags to make sure the selected category and classes are accurate. Report any discrepancies to the fair office immediately. DO NOT ATTACH TAGS TO THE MATTING.
JUDGING: Sunday, July 29 at 8:30 P.M. (Closed to Public)
DISMISSAL: Sunday, August 5 from 8 P.M. to 9 P.M.
RULES:
1. Advanced, Amateur, and Student categories will be shown and judged separately.
2. Experienced photographers or those amateurs who have won numerous premium awards at past fairs in the amateur division are encouraged to enter the Advanced category.
3. All other photographers, except for Students, should enter the Amateur category. Students in grades K-12 should enter the Student category.
4. Each exhibitor must identify himself/herself as Advanced, Amateur, or Student. Exhibitors may not cross enter between Advanced, Amateur and Student.
5. To be accepted as a valid entry, all 5x7 prints up to and including 8x12 prints must be:
a. original and pre-entered,
b. not previously exhibited at the Medina County Fair,
c. mounted to a single mat that, if preferred, is mounted to a mat board. The project should not exceed 1/16 in. thickness and 11X14 inches in total size. Panoramic prints may be entered but the matting may not exceed 11X14 inches.
d. not foam mounted.
e. not double matted.
6. No photographs in frames will be accepted.
7. Do not use wires or hangers.
8. Name must be included on back of photo and arrows designating direction for displaying purposes.
9. Each exhibitor may enter one item in each class with a maximum of ten photographs per exhibitor. This maximum includes a combination of black and white photos.
10. The committee is not responsible for entries submitted to the fair or entries left after dismissal time. Photos not picked up by 9 P.M. the Sunday of dismissal may be picked up at the Fair Office the following week.
11. COMMITTEE HAS THE RIGHT TO ACCEPT/REJECT ANY PHOTOGRAPHS DUE TO SPACE INFRACTION, CLASSIFICATION OR TASTE.
12. Photos may be cropped but not DIGITIALLY ALTERED unless entered in Manipulated Image Class.
13. ALL EXHIBITORS must purchase a Membership, Season or Mini ticket
