Section D - SPECIAL RECIPE CONTEST
PREMIUMS: 1st-$4 & Trophy; 2nd-$3; 3rd-$2; 4th-$1
RULES:
1. To be brought in Thursday, August 5, from 9 A.M. to 12 P.M.
2. Three pieces on a paper plate in a quart ziploc bag
3. Judging will be 1 P.M.
4. Trophy to be awarded.
CLASS:
1. HONEY COOKIES
4 C. Flour 1/4 tsp. Ginger
1/2 C. Honey 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
1 Egg 1/2 tsp. Nutmeg
2 Egg Yolks 1/4 tsp. Cloves
1/2 C. Sugar Almond Halves
1 tsp. soda
Combine sugar and honey. Add eggs and beat well. Sift flour with soda and spices, add to honey mixture. Mix well. Set in refrigerator to stiffen. Roll out to 1/4 inch thickness on floured board and cut with round cookie cutter. Press half of one almond on top of each cookie, brush with egg white. Bake on buttered baking sheet in 375 oven for 15 minutes.
