PROCEDURE FOR ENTERING PROJECT:
Please pick up tags for projects at the office. Upon receiving tags check to make sure there is a tag for each project. If a tag is missing report it to the office immediately. Take tags and entered items to the department during specified times.
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL TAGS FOR
CORRESPONDING PROJECTS AT TIME OF ENTRY.
ENTRIES: Sunday, July 29 from 9 A.M. to 4 P.M.
     Thursday, Aug. 2 from 9A.M. to 12 Noon.
JUDGING: Sunday, July 29 at 5 P.M.;
                    Thursday, Aug. 2 at 1 P.M
BUILDING WILL BE CLOSED DURING JUDGING
JUDGES DECISION IS FINAL.
DISMISSAL TIME: Sunday, Aug. 7 from 8 P.M.-9:45 P.M.-Bldg. 22 Tuesday, Aug. 9 from 10 A.M.-1 P.M.-Fair Office
RULES:
1.   All articles in this department must be made BY THE EXHIBITOR NAMED, within the last year.
2.   Not more than one article can be entered in the same category
      by the same person.
3.   Premiums paid on articles named only.
4.   JR. DIVISION implies a child 12 and under. PRE-REGISTRATION is necessary, but purchase of an Exhibitor's Ticket is not needed if a parent, grandparent or legal guardian has purchased a Membership, Season, or Mini ticket. An exhibitor's number will be distributed at pre-registration. TEEN DIVISION implies 13 through 18 years old and an exhibitor's number and ticket is necessary. The same is true for all adult exhibitors.
5.   Any article entered in the JR. or TEEN DIVISION must be made by the child exhibiting.
6.   The Department WILL NOT be responsible for any article remaining after Tuesday, August 9 after 1 P.M.
7.   The claim stubs must be presented to claim any article.
8. The following baked goods will be judged on two separate days as listed:

12.  No one who professionally gives any instruction in or receives                         income from the category may enter that division (with the
         exception of Professional Cake Decorating category).
13.          Any item entered in the wrong category can not be changed by  the Committee, nor will be judged. PLEASE ENTER CAREFULLY.
14.          NOTE: "OUTSTANDING HOMEMAKER AWARD" TO BE PRESENTED TO THE MAN OR WOMAN WHO WINS THE MOST BLUERIBBONS IN THE HOME DEPT. (DEPT. 13-16) THIS YEAR.  THE WINNER'S NAME WILL BE DISPLAYED IN THE HOME DEPT.  THE SAME INDIVIDUAL WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE  TO WIN THIS AWARD MORE THAN ONE TIME IN A THREE YEAR PERIOD. "OUTSTANDING JR. HOMEMAKER AWARD" (SAME CRITERIA AS ABOVE, OPEN TO JUNIOR OR TEENS)

NOTE: To be judged on smooth icing, even consistency of icing, even design on border, pleasant design, difficulty of design and flowers.    
   
Section A - DECORATED CAKES (Amateur, someone who has not sold a cake) (No Real Cakes)

1.   Wedding Cake - NOT MORE THAN 27" HIGH.
2.   Any Decorative Cake (must be labeled what it is)

NOTE: MUST BE IN CLEAR GLASS QUART JARS. Judged on clear juice, even firm shapes and sizes, good color, labeled and dated jar, proper head space, well sealed jar with no bulging or leaking lids.  Clear fluids must cover food.  No cracked or chipped containers, or rusty lids.  No coverings on lids.
