ENTRIES FIRST SHOW: Sunday, July 29, 12 NOON till 4 P.M.
JUDGING - Sunday, July 29 at 5 P.M. - OPEN TO EXHIBITORS.
DISMISSAL: First Show: Arrangements and Specimens ONLY Wednesday, Aug. 1 at 8 pm. MEDINA COUNTY FAIR NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ITEMS THAT ARE NOT PICKED UP BY THE EXHIBITOR AT THE SPECIFIED TIME.
PROCEDURE FOR ENTERING PROJECTS:
1. Please pick up tags for projects at the office. Upon receiving tags check to make sure there is a tag for each project. If a tag is missing report it to the office immediately for correction. DO NOT ATTACH TAGS TO ITEMS. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL TAGS FOR CORRESPONDING PROJECTS AT TIME OF ENTRY.
ENTRIES SECOND SHOW: Thursday, Aug. 2, 9 A.M. till 11 A.M.
JUDGING: Thursday, Aug. 2 at 12 NOON - OPEN TO EXHIBITORS.
DISMISSAL: SECOND SHOW and all categories Sunday, August 7 at 8:00 P.M.
RULES:
1. EXHIBITORS OF A NON-PROFESSIONAL NATURE ONLY.
2. ONLY ONE ENTRY in each class is permitted.
3. Container must be furnished by exhibitor and MUST BE CLEAR PLASTIC AT LEAST 8 INCHES TALL, NOT MORE THAN 10 INCHES TALL BY 3 INCHES IN DIAMETER (16-20-24 oz.) CLEAR PLASTIC WATER BOTTLE.
4. All entries must be pre-registered by: JULY 20 at the FAIR
OFFICE. Juniors must be pre-registered also.
5. Any entries made by a Junior Exhibitor (age 4-12) MUST BE GROWN OR MADE BY THE EXHIBITOR.
6. Any entry not pre-registered or incorrectly registered will NOT BE ACCEPTED.
7. Flower Committee will exercise due care, but cannot be responsible for exhibits not picked up by dismissal date.
8. Premiums are as listed. Second BEST OF SHOW and HONORABLE MENTION ribbons will be awarded, if merited in all sections, but NO premium will accompany them.
9. Awards will be given at the discretion of the judge whose decision is final.
SPECIMEN RULES:
1. Entries must be grown by the exhibitor.
2. Only ONE entry per class per exhibitor.
3. Container must be furnished by the exhibitor and MUST BE AT LEAST 8 INCHES TALL, NOT MORE THAN 10 INCHES TALL BY 3 INCHES IN DIAMETER (20-24 oz. bottle)
4. Varieties must be named on entry tag when you pre-register by JULY 20.
5. The Stem length MUST be a minimum of TWO (2) inches regardless of specimen species.
6. The exhibitor is responsible for monitoring the water level in the container; wilted specimens will be DISQUALIFIED.
7. Exhibitor must remove any leaves or other non-stem material from the portion of the stem that will be submersed in water.
8. Definition of a STEM: Any main or lateral axis of a plant which possesses nodes and internodes and bears leaves and buds at the nodes. A stem terminates with one or more flowers.
9. Definition of a SPRAY: The primary and lateral stems all bearing terminal flowers.
10. Definition of a SPIKE: A lengthened flower cluster on a main stem which bears stemless flowers.
11. Definition of a BLOOM: One flower with its associated foliage left intact on the portion of the stem that is above the top of the container.
12. There will be two shows of Specimens. Exhibitors may enter both.
13. Any discrepancies from the specifications stated above will result in an AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION.

4. One entry per exhibitor in any class.
5. Entries are to be in place by 4 P.M. Sunday, July 31 and must remain until 8.00 P.M. Sunday, August 7. Not responsible for items not picked up on time.
6. Plants must be named on entry tag when you pre-register or they will not be judged.
